Springfield Public Schools (SPS) hosted the first-ever Middle School Latinx Student Union Summit on May 8. Nearly 100 students from Hamlin, Agnes Stewart, Briggs, and Thurston Middle Schools were in attendance.

Agnes Stewart Leadership Team presents Agnes Got Talent! This event is an opportunity for students to show off their special talents and interests on stage for an audience of family and friends. The show will take place on June 6, 6:30 - 8 p.m.

As the calendar flips to the new year, Springfield Public Schools is preparing to open the application period for students wishing to transfer.
Students at Hamlin Middle School now have a cozy place for reading, relaxing, and connecting with other avid literature lovers—the Carson Reading Room. Students got their first peek on November 6 of the new reading room, which was made possible thanks to a grant that was funded by the Gagon family.
The Springfield High School (SHS) Automotive Technology Program was awarded a $7,500 grant for an outreach project to help veterans fix their vehicles or receive a donated car.
Four SPS teachers were selected as recipients of the 2024 Selco Creative Educator Grants, which help teachers fund their creative class projects and help support finding innovative ways to teach students in our district.
